INTERIOR DESIGN: Le Nordelec Lounge
original concept and design by Noush Kadian, in collaboration with Lessard Pare Architecture
Le Nordelec, one of the largest heritage brick buildings in North America, is deeply rooted in Montreal’s industrial past. The old Northern Electric factory building has undergone extensive renovations to now house offices and condominiums. The lounge is a 3200 sq ft space where the workers in the building can play, eat and unwind. The design of the space marries modern technology with traditional, industrial materials such as wood spools, pallets and metal details. The space is an ode to industry while providing the comfort and functionality of our contemporary context.
